Reanimated exhumes the season finale of The Vampire Lestat and talks about The Vampire Lestat: The Failures, the studio album released alongside the show this year. Say what you want about the quality of the music, the amount of effort put into creating this was astounding.

Lestat continues to be one of the more complex and interesting characters we've seen on screen in a while. 

Reanimated got back on the tour bus with the band for the first two episodes of The Vampire Lestat and were not disappointed. There's a lot to chew on in these episodes and the promise of plenty more!

Somehow, the Tom Savini-directed remake of the grandpappy zombie movie of all time had slipped through the cracks of our recap process. Reanimated was more than happy to correct that oversight and spend time with Barbara, Ben and the gang at the farmhouse. 

Reanimated keenly felt the meta while talking about podcasters in the zombie apocalypse after we watched "Didn't Die."

The inaugural season of the instant classic Widow's Bay comes to an end with some serious themes but the show still manages to make us laugh. Season 2 can't come soon enough!

Reanimated ventures out on the waters of Widow's Bay and then has a visitor from the 1990s pop back in for some cutlery demonstrations.

We reach the end of a decent second season of Mayfair Witches with some good set up for a third season but also some nagging questions. There was also an honest-to-goodness reanimation in the finale, so we managed to stick the landing!

These two episodes feature a lot of overconfidence from our heroine and introduce a whole bevy of new witches. 

We had a witch party, some real amoral geneticist behavior, a talamasca in turmoil and much more in these two episodes that do a lot to set up the action coming up this season, we hope. 

We head back to New Orleans to hang out with Rowan, Lasher and the other magical misfits of Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches.

While there were neither readily apparent silence nor zones in this film, it was a fun good time. 

Gothic horror meets "Sleepless in Seattle"

Turns out all this African zombie outbreak needed was a guy named Brian Murphy. He'll fix your car, be your friend, shoot you in the head, save a baby, give that baby away a few minutes later, sleep in a tree  and probably raise your child as his own.

There's some good work in this movie - a good cast and enough to sink your teeth into, but don't expect to be writing letters home about it. 

Joe Keery, Georgina Campbell, Liam Neeson and the rest of a stellar cast, balanced with a dynamite script and great effects - all combined? You got yourself a pretty good ole zombie movie right there. 

This film from New Zealand made excellent use of its beautiful locations, solid core cast and freaky howlers.

Reanimated heads to Tasmania to help the Body Recovery Unit process a lot of grief in We Bury the Dead this week.

Did we Zomvive? Not sure. However, the word on the street is that the show has a second season greenlit, so perhaps we will try to zomvive once more. แล้วเจอกัน

The shine is starting to wear off for the gang they reach the second half of Zomvivors.

We got to know a few more of the ensemble this week, and just as quickly said goodbye to some characters on this Thai zombie show. 

Reanimated takes a bite out of this Thai show that pits college students against a zombie outbreak in Bangkok.

We finish off season two of Maggie and Negan and learn a lot in the process!

We have a bit of a rant about some of the dumb things that happen in these episodes and then take a step back and marvel at the bones of the meta plot that the writers are clearly developing, but have not executed on yet. 

The journey continues through Manhattan for Negan and Maggie.

Not a great start to Dead City's second season. Hoping the series finds its feet soon. 

We brought in some help in this episode in the shape of our special HBO correspondent Kyle to break down the announced merger between Netflix and Warner Brothers and then we broke down, emotionally, because Marvel Zombies is some hard work, you guys. 

Despite sometimes feeling like a quiz on our collective Marvel knowledge, Reanimated was so happy to finally dig into this show with the first two parts.

The zombie apocalypse meet death drops -- nobody’s safe from getting upstaged in Queens of the Dead. 

Indonesian nepobabies face off against undead boomers chasing everlasting life. 10/10.

Reanimated closes out the balance of Season 3 and we're basically happy with it, but there were some questions and concerns. 

Daryl finds himself in limbo between Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, the Seven Samurai and the Indiana Jones franchise in this episode of the show that borrows heavily from great IPs but ultimately feels like it's missing its mojo still.

The show definitely lost a step on this episode. The show runners show their hand in how little they apparently thought about the faction 'Los Primativos' and offer up a completely meaningless sacrificial lamb that feels like a cheap attempt to manipulate the audience.

I don't care what anyone says, this cognac is perfectly drinkable.

Is there any more of that el puerco?

Off to a middling start! Although England gets done dirty in the first episode of the new season of Daryl Dixon, there is some light in this episode thanks to the direction of Daniel Percival who takes time to linger on some good scenes. 

we recap MadS in this episode - all it took was one continuous take, a few lines of red powder and some strong performances to make a pretty cool movie

We head over to the dystopian climate apocalypse unfolding in Bangkok where a Muay Thai fighter elbows and kicks his way through hordes of zombies in an action-packed good time. 

Reanimated put on our Junior Solider pants and watched Operation Undead for this episode of the podcast. This Thai period piece brought a novel approach to the genre, powerful performances and great make-up. 

That's a wrap on the first season of Revival. We stuck it out, despite becoming painfully obvious that this was not a zombie show. Good performances from Melanie Scrofano, Andy McQueen and Steve Ogg made it worthwhile.

The manifold plotlines of Revival continue to writhe and resolve themselves as the season approaches its end. 

Revival still packs a lot of plot into its run time but some of the cracks are starting to show in the production in the late season. 

We heart Ibrahim Ramin & Em gets de-banged this week on the show.

Reanimated found the funeral scene to be more punk rock than the actual punk rock show. 

This is a charming show on SYFY - good cast, good writing, sign us up!

Fresh from the theater to your ears - we spill all the beans, spoilers and all, about 28 Years Later. 
We also get into etiquette more than a little. To quote the good Shepherd Book from Firefly:"... you're going to burn in a very special level of hell. A level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater."

Turns out two Michaels B. Jordan is not too many. 

Robert Eggers retelling of the gothic tale of Count Orlok is accomplished through the precise application of 5,000 trained rats.

The season finale leaves the story in a place where a seven-episode season feels insufficient and the gang has some beef with a few writing choices made. Even so, season 3 needs to hurry up and get here. 

Joel and Ellie experience some of their happiest times and events take place that bring old wounds back to the surface. 

Reanimated breaks down "Feel Her Love" as Ellie and Dina sneak through war-torn Seattle, face off with Wolves and Scars, and Ellie’s quest for vengeance leads her into the depths of the hospital-culminating in a tense showdown with Nora.

This week on the podcast - Seattle Correspondent Kyle has some thoughts about how the show is reflecting his city as Dina and Ellie attempt to find their footing and we get to bask in Jeffrey Wright's performance as Isaac.

Reanimated joins the community of Jackson as it attempts to come to terms with the events of the past few months.

This is the end - of Generation Z, anyway. This show tried to do an awful lot and succeeded at times, but ultimately, it just didn't have time to do what Ben Wheatley was trying to accomplish. 

We return for more of Ben Wheatley's Generation Z and can't help but adore Viola Prettejohn's turn as Finn. 

It's off to Damsbury for some generationally charged zombocalypse metaphor with Ben Wheatley's Generation Z.

Some wildly good performances, stunning cinematography and a tight script all come together to make this Filipino film really stand out.  

Reanimated tackles the Spanish film Apocalypse Z on this week's podcast - the gang loved the pacing and storytelling in this adaptation of a popular novel and we're looking forward to the sequel!

Despite there being about 60 minutes missing from this movie, and at times it showed - Reanimated had a good time in Salem's Lot. Between a great cast, some fantastic editing and creepy Gordon Lightfoot songs, this really was a fun time. 

Reanimated finishes up in the bunker for now with the second season of Silo. Back to our regularly scheduled undead fare. 

We get a lot of answers about what went on in Silo 17 and Lukas finds out a lot about what is going on in Silo 18. The lives of ten thousand hang in the balance. 

A rare miss for Silo, this episode had Reanimated wishing we had the bends and could just hang out underwater until the plot decided it wanted to move on in a more meaningful manner. 

As Mechanical tries to strike a blow in the psyops battle, Bernard is making moves on multiple levels as usual. In Silo 17 Juliette and Solo undertake a huge mission but then Juliette is faced with a dangerous mystery! Yikes!

Bernard continues to race all over the Silo attempting to quell the growing civil unrest. Lines are being drawn and sides are being chosen. 

Solo might have a screw loose, Juliet isn't feeling so good and things in Silo 18 are reaching a fever pitch. 

Solo and Juliette get on each other's nerves while things continue to unravel at Silo 18. 

Reanimated joins in on the frenzy of speculation about the 28 Years Later trailer. Meanwhile in Silo, Juliette and Solo get to know each other a little more while things are on a razor's edger back at Silo 18.

In this episode of Silo, we get to see how the residents of Silo 18 are managing in the wake of Juliette Nichol's dramatic exit at the end of Season 1.

We delve back into the Silo for a second season. 

There's a lot to like about this family drama/dark comedy starring Damian Lewis and Kelly Macdonald as the heads of a family of suburban vampires. 

We say aurevoir to season 2 of Daryl Dixon with a pretty solid season ender. A lot happened and the episode even wound up going in a direction that we did not expect!

This was a really solid episode of the show with Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride and the supporting cast firing on all cylinders and a script that highlighted some great character growth.

Tears were shed in this episode as we were served up a great reunion roughly five episodes in the making. Tears were also shed in frustration as a beloved cast member was killed. Nevertheless, we carry on as true Walking Dead fans must.

We learn more about Marion Genet's background as a janitor at the Louvre and some of the reason for her odd relationship to art in this episode of the Walking Dead spin-off. Carol makes progress in her search and unfortunately we also say goodbye to a character who got done dirty. 

While Stuart's dreams of a real pond-hopping adventure were dashed, our hosts found themselves enjoying the plot to this second episode of the Walking Dead spin-off. 

It's time to revisit France for the second season of the Daryl and Carol spin-off! (or as some like to refer to it, TWD:DD:TBOC). HA is not feeling it thus far, with some characters making a series of poor choices that beggar belief for folks who've survived more than a decade into the zompocalypse. Stuart just wants to see some airplanes. 

Special guest host Simon joins Reanimated this week, while H.A. is on the road, to discuss Werewolves Within, an adaptation of a video game with a cast and production crew made up of comedy superstars that packs a lot of laughs into its runtime.

We know, we were sleeping on this one for too long. Join Reanimated this week as we take a look back at the animated prequel to Train to Busan. Lots of great storytelling in this film!

Is this a werewolf movie? Reanimated howls with the cracking of bones when the beast within emerges in this Kit Harrington film. 

We went through just about every stage of grief in viewing this film. It was a tough one, but we're well versed in having our emotions wrung out for the love of this genre. Come and watch "Handling the Undead" with Reanimated. 

It was time to revisit Canada for this zomedy. "We Are Zombies" presented some legitimately novel ideas that we would like to see more fleshed out, but ultimately ... well have a listen.

Reanimated sinks its teeth into the fourth episode of the second season of Interview with the Vampire where Claudia and Louis continue to dance around the vicious heart of the Paris coven, with tragedy lurking around the corner.

Louis and Claudia get to know the vampire coven of Paris, while Molloy is approached by a mysterious new contact in Dubai.
